Why I do what I do

 

Hi there, Wilson here.

 

I'm passionate about inspiring individuals and organisations to find their voice and maximise their potential in the marketplace. I believe that human capital is the greatest resource at our disposal and the best investment both individuals and organisations can make.

 

I have a unique gift and ability to create powerful mental pictures using the art of storytelling to break down complex concepts, articulate practical and relevant ideas, inspire and connect with the audience and create a transformative learning experience. 

 

For the last 20 years, I've been living in Adelaide - a beautiful and charming metropolis in Australia nestled between pristine beaches and the coastline, undulating hills, and breathtaking vineyards. I'm married with three kids. 

 

I was born in a small village in Kitale, a tropical picturesque outpost at the heart of the spectacular Great Rift Valley in Kenya. I spent my formative years under the tutelage of my grandmother, a master storyteller whose kitchen became a platform where I honed my craft in storytelling and public speaking. But Kitale is a long way from Adelaide and my grandma's kitchen a long shot from podiums in Australia.

 

I have a background in social science, innovation, project management, communications, training and assessment, and adult education. I have worked in both government and non-government sectors and often doubled as a freelance writer and entrepreneur. I have lectured at various tertiary institutions in Australia, presented at conferences, developed and delivered training in different settings and hosted dozens of events.
